Little Rock, Arkansas – According to UA Little Rock officials, the Trojans men’s basketball team’s student manager perished in a collision.
Josh Claxton, a student manager, lost his life in an early-morning crash on Saturday, according to a release.
The Ohio Valley Conference, the Eastern Illinois Department of Athletics, and the Little Rock Department of Athletics have chosen to postpone Saturday’s game, which was originally set for 3 p.m., due to the unfortunate incident.
The press statement states that attempts will be made to move the game against Eastern Illinois to a later time.
Frank Cuervo, the athletic director of UA Little Rock, highlighted the talents that Claxton provided to the Trojans men’s basketball team on social media.
According to Cuervo, “Josh was a committed and essential member of the Trojan Basketball team, and his enthusiasm, upbeat attitude, and unwavering dedication to the team made a lasting impact on everyone he met.” “His absence will be greatly felt, as he was not only a coworker but also a genuine friend to many.”
“I want to express my sincere condolences to Josh’s parents, family, and friends on behalf of the entire Little Rock Department of Athletics,” Cuervo added. “Josh exemplified the ideals of the Trojan way of life.”
