A graduate student from Arkansas appears on the big screen in the rodeo-themed movie “Heart of a Champion”

Little Rock, Arkansas – A graduate student at the University of Arkansas at Monticello must choose between Hollywood and medical school right now.
A supporting role in a movie has now been added to the portfolio of Morgan Harrington, a 23-year-old fifth-year collegiate rodeo contestant and graduate student at UAM studying biochemistry.
Harrington is referred to by UAM administrators in a release as a competitor at heart. In 2022, she competed against over 22,000 other women for a role in a rodeo-themed movie, but she was successful because she stood out from the throng.
In the film “Heart of a Champion”, Harrington plays 14-year-old Madison Farnsworth, a talented, rich, barrel racer and villain to the lead character. Although her friends would describe her as a “nice” girl, Harrington was excited to play the character, according to the press release.
“It was so fun to play the mean girl,” Harrington said.
Harrington is no stranger to rodeo crowds and performing because she spent her childhood in the rural community of Casa, Arkansas, surrounded by horses. Her genuine expertise as a real-life barrel racer and breakaway roper reportedly helped her earn the part.
In addition to acting, Harrington has been accepted into the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Smith, where she will begin classes this summer. Nevertheless, she said she is currently concentrating on acting and returning to competition.
The family movie is presently playing in a few theaters and is also available for purchase or rental through Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and YouTube movies.
