A recent snowstorm has a financial impact on a number of Central Arkansas businesses

Benton, Arkansas – After being shuttered for days, several companies are already catching up as Central Arkansas thaws up following the winter storm.
Owner Chris Alley of Rock N’ Roll Sushi stated, “Unfortunately, the snow hit on the weekend, which we kind of rely on to make our week.”
Several Central Arkansas businesses are suffering financially as a result of having to close due to the snow, including Rock N’ Roll Sushi in Benton.
“It truly damages our employees in addition to the owners. “Those who depend on tips, those who work on an hourly basis, and those who are searching for those hours every week to earn their paychecks,” Alley said.
Alley stated that they dislike closing their shop until it is really necessary for reasons such as those.
In addition to compensating for missed time and revenue, Rock N’ Roll Sushi needs to undertake certain repairs.
“I received roughly twenty-five SMS informing me that the front awning had collapsed.
Fortunately, our landlord was able to swiftly remove that, allowing us to open on Saturday despite the delayed start time,” Alley stated.
Another company that was affected by the storms was located just across the corner. Chris Jordan, the owner of Stated Apparel, claimed that despite closing, they were still able to attract clients through an online sale.
“For us, being in retail, we were thankful that it held off through the holiday season and waited til’ January, which is one of the slow times of year for us,” Jordan stated.
Both proprietors stated that they depend on the community’s assistance at times like these, regardless of the weather.
“We’re Mom and Pop, a local business here in Benton, Arkansas, and so it’s great that when that [happens] the customers are going to get better, come back out and get out and shop, but we are super thankful that it happened when it happened,” Jordan stated.
“Everyone kind of wasted their money during the holidays, and we know that things are difficult right now, especially without the weather. Thus, help your local companies and residents,” Alley advised.
By the end of this week, Rock N’ Roll Sushi intends to install a new awning.
