A woman’s residence, which also serves as an animal sanctuary, has been engulfed in flames

North Little Rock, Arkansas – For two decades, Torvi Winters has dedicated herself to rescuing and rehabilitating animals, and she recently launched her nonprofit, Wildlife Matters, just a year ago.
On Friday, the location that her family and these animals consider their home was engulfed in flames.
“I missed a call from my 18-year-old.” “I received a voicemail stating that the kitchen is on fire, please help,” Winters reported.
During that period, Winters was caring for a raccoon, possum, rabbits, bats, and other animals. In addition, she has a collection of 7 pet birds.
“All the wildlife is stored in the garage, and fortunately, it has a firewall,” Winters stated.
Fortunately, her family is safe, and all the animals are unharmed as well. As her home was filled with smoke, she had to swiftly relocate the wildlife to ensure they received the proper care they needed.
“Before all the fire trucks left, I had other rehabbers arriving to collect items and individuals coming to assist with the smaller cages,” Winters stated.
The animals are completing their rehabilitation in new homes, while Winters’ birds remain gray, their feathers stained by smoke.
