After battling months of landlord problems, the North Little Rock church was forced to move

North Little Rock, Arkansas – The rented structure of Word of Truth Christian Fellowship in North Little Rock has presented some serious difficulties for Pastor Carlos Wallace.

The church has been dealing with a number of concerns for about eight months, including mold, water issues, malfunctioning air conditioning and heating, and inconsistent flowing water.

“Dealing with mold in closets and water and things of that nature and then to only be told that basically that some of the issues that that we’re having was caused by us … and when all we’re doing is trying to be good tenants,” said Pastor Wallace.

Pastor Wallace voiced dissatisfaction with Upper Room Apostolic Ministry, the landlord, saying that his attempts to resolve these issues have been received with dismissive or minimized responses.

“They did attempt to clean things up by bringing in some personnel, but the issue persists. Pastor Wallace remarked, “They essentially put a band-aid on something that’s consistently doing the same exact thing.”

The pastor claims that since then, things have become worse, with the church being forced to look for a new venue after receiving an eviction notice.

For Wallace and his church, who have put a lot of time and energy into their current location, this development has been especially discouraging.

“I had to let my congregation know that we would need to find somewhere else to attend because the location where we shed our tears, sweat, and blood will now have to go. “That is discouraging,” Pastor Wallace remarked.

Pastor Wallace is unwavering in his faith and mission in spite of these setbacks.

He said that the church has done more outside the walls than inside, underscoring the fact that its activity is not limited to the actual structure.

We conducted more work outside of the church than inside, proving that we are not limited to its four walls. Even though we’re going to be alright, it’s depressing,” Pastor Wallace stated.
