Ahead of the chilly weather, the Saline County warming center is reopening

Benton, Arkansas – With temperatures predicted to plummet into next week, the Saline County warming facility will reopen this weekend.
On Sunday, January 19, the Northside Church of Christ in Benton will open at 6 p.m. and remain open until noon on Wednesday, January 22.
The church may be found close to Saline Memorial Hospital at 917 North East Street.
On Monday and Tuesday, the warming center will open before of an Arctic blast that will cause temperatures to drop into the single digits and teens.
Everyone is encouraged to spend as little time outside as possible since wind chills could drop close to zero.
Volunteers are needed to help run the warming facility, according to county officials. Volunteers can register at SCWarming25.tinyurl.com.
