Arkansas enters the weekend with almost 10,000 active cases, more than 11,000 vaccinated

Conway, Arkansas – Arkansas is among the states with the highest spike in new Covid-19 cases in the last two weeks and now is very close to 10,000 active cases.
According to latest Covid-19 report on Friday, 1,342 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours and 11 additional deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 362,580 people have been tested positive, while the total number of deaths reached 5,992.
There are 9,750 active cases right now and more than 90% of them haven’t been vaccinated so far. This is change for 671 compared to yesterday’s report.
Arkansas Department of Health reported that there are 681 people hospitalized right now which is increase by 12 to the day before. There are no new patients put on ventilators and the number remains the same from yesterday, 119.
