Arkansas man charged with raping unconscious woman

LITTLE ROCK — A northeast Arkansas man has been charged with raping an unconscious woman.
Chance Helms, 26, is accused of striking a woman in the head with a firearm and knocking her unconscious. He allegedly sexually assaulted the woman while she was incapacitated.
The victim reported the alleged assault to Paragould police on May 7. Investigators reportedly found evidence that supports her claim.
Helms also faces a charge of second-degree battery.
He was being held at the Greene County jail Friday.
