Arkansas’ Martin Luther King Jr. Commission cancels a vigil due to the threat of bad weather

Little Rock, Arkansas – Due to the threat of bad weather, the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission has canceled the 2023 Commemorative Vigil that was set to take place on Tuesday.
After the storms on Friday, there is a chance of more severe storms on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a chance of tornadoes, strong winds, and hail.
The event was planned for Tuesday morning to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his work. Officials want schools, students, and groups to honor King’s death by helping those who were hurt by the tornado last week.
