Arkansas with 4th highest rate of violent crimes in U.S.

Little Rock, Arkansas – New research on violent crimes in the U.S. revealed that Arkansas ranks number four on the list.
According to criminal law experts jorgevelalaw.com, the research was conducted on the latest FBI crime data to reveal the state with the most reported violent crimes per 100,000 people.
The study suggests that on average, across the US, 398.5 crimes were committed per 100,000 people in 2020.
The state of Alaska ranks number which showed 837.8 violent crimes committed per 100,000 people.
Coming in with the second highest rate was New Mexico, with 778.2 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
Tennessee is third in the nation for the number of violent crimes reported per 100,000 residents, at 672.7.
Arkansas comes in at number four overall, just behind Tennessee, with 671.9 violent offenses per 100,000 residents.
With 639.4 violent crimes committed per 100,000 residents, Louisiana comes in fifth place.
With 542.7 violent crimes committed per 100,000 residents, Missouri has the sixth-highest rate of violent crime in the country.
South Carolina is seventh on the list with 540.7 violent crimes per 100,000 residents.
With 501.4 violent crimes committed per 100,000 people, South Dakota ranks seventh.
Arizona, with 484.8 violent offenses per 100,000 residents, came in ninth place.
Michigan ranks as the ninth most violent state, with 478 violent offenses per 100,000 residents.
A spokesperson for jorgevelalaw.com said, “There is a considerable difference between the rates of recorded violent crime between the states that feature at the top and bottom of this list. The statistics show that more than 1.3 million violent crimes were committed over one year, while on average during 2020 in the US there were 398.5 crimes for every 100,000 people.”
