Blue Shield and Arkansas Blue Cross among the top workplaces
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Recently, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield was named one of the greatest places to work in the Natural State.
As of 2023, the employer has been recognized by the Arkansas Business Publishing Group for the ninth consecutive year, according to a news release issued on Tuesday.
Established in 1948, the organization employs over 3,300 people and serves over 2 million members across the country.
“Our goal at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is to take good care of our members, and that means also taking good care of our team. They are essential in providing excellent service and assistance to Arkansans when they need us most,” said Arkansas Blue Cross President and CEO Curtis Barnett.
The statement states that anonymous employee surveys covering planning, leadership, communication, business culture, relationships between staff members and supervisors, pay and benefits, and other issues are used to produce the annual list.
“We are proud our employees see Arkansas Blue Cross as a great place to work,” said Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Odell Nickelberry. “They have helped build the organization to what it is today through innovation, teamwork, their creativity, and dedication.”
Earlier this year, Forbes magazine honored Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield as one of the nation’s Best Mid-sized Employers, one of the Best Employers for New College Grads, and Best Employers for Women.
