Community hosts events supporting law enforcement

Jonesboro, Arkansas – A night filled with music and fun was made possible at Shop Local Park as a result of the pleasant weather.
Saturday was the day of the “Cookout for the Blue” event that was hosted by the Arkansas Code 3 Response Foundation.
At eight in the morning, there was a competition held at the Griffin Training Center, and later on this evening, there was a social event held in the Farville Curve.
The organization provides assistance to law enforcement personnel and their families across the state.
Callie Talley, who was in charge of organizing the event, expressed her delight that they were able to raise $1,400 in donations.
She said, “I’m just pleased, I was so nervous when we chose to do this, and we were hoping to raise maybe a couple of thousand dollars, but to have raised $12,000 so far it is wonderful.” “I’m just thrilled, I was extremely nervous when we decided to do this,” she said.
Talley believes that you can still be of assistance even if you were unable to attend the event.
They have a Facebook page where you may contribute money to Code 3, and you can find it there.
The best part is that Facebook doesn’t charge any fees, so the full amount of money made goes straight to them.
