Covid-19 positive cases are rising across Arkansas, UAMS is full with patients

Little Rock, Arkansas – The hospitals across the state are getting full and some of them are already running out of beds as the number of new Covid-19 cases is rising for weeks now.

UAMS Chancellor Dr. Cam Patterson on Twitter said that the hospital is full due to more than 50 Covid-19 admissions.

Dr. Patterson tweeted: “The hospital @uamshealth is full. COVID-19 numbers increase every day. We are staffing inpatients in the ER and recovery room. No space for transfers. Running out of caregivers. Support health care workers. Mask up. Get vaxxed.”

Shortly after his first tweet, Dr. Patterson added that there are a total of 51 Covid-19 patients, 13 people on ventilators, 19 people in the ICU, 4 on ECMO, 2 on ECMO watch, and 1 new death.
