Due to heat advisories, the Little Rock Zoo will change its entry schedule

Little Rock, Arkansas – Everyone may experience merciless heat, but local zoo animals and workers may experience it the most.
The Little Rock Zoo made the decision to alter its operating hours for the full month of August in order to protect the welfare of its visitors, animals, and staff, the zoo said on Thursday.
Beginning on August 1 and continuing through August 31, the zoo’s hours will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The zoo’s Café Africa restaurant, the train, and the carousel will all open and close sooner to better accommodate visitors who arrive early.
The park will close at 2 p.m., and Café Africa will be open until then. This weekend, a special breakfast menu will be offered.
Both the train and the carousel will begin running at 9 a.m., stopping at 2 p.m. for the train and 12 p.m. for the carousel, respectively.
