Families in central Arkansas impacted by the storms in March still have two weeks to apply for FEMA disaster assistance

Little Rock, Arkansas – Families and individuals in Central Arkansas who were impacted by the tornadoes in March still have two weeks to apply for federal disaster aid.
The deadline to apply for FEMA aid for affected homeowners and renters in Cross, Lonoke, and Pulaski Counties is July 3. Financial aid for short-term housing, house repairs, and programs to support those recuperating from the storm may all be included in the assistance.
The final day to submit an application for a catastrophe loan from the US Small Business Administration is July 3.
After a string of destructive tornadoes tore through central Arkansas on March 31, destroying homes and businesses, FEMA started providing assistance.
In Arkansas, there are now four Disaster Recovery Centers that can help with the application process. Go to FEMA.gov/DRC to find a center.
FEMA representatives advise Arkansans who have been impacted by the natural catastrophe to keep requesting disaster aid by going to DisasterAssistance.gov or calling 800-621-3362.
