Fire at downtown Little Rock apartment building

Little Rock, Arkansas – After a fire started in the third-floor laundry room of Cumberland Towers, firefighters are attempting to clear smoke from the building.
A single patient allegedly received treatment for smoke inhalation.
The complex on the 300 block of East 8th Street was partially evacuated.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m., the Little Rock Fire Department responded to a report of the fire.
Firefighters were able to rapidly put out the fire before starting to clean the smoke, floor by floor.
The specific cause of the fire is yet unknown.
