Following a brawl at Malys Entertainment in Conway, a third individual was arrested
Conway, Arkansas – At the Conway City Council meeting on Tuesday, there was standing room only as residents voiced their concerns to the officials regarding the events that occurred at Malys Entertainment over the weekend.
“We know these individuals are not from Conway,” Faulkner County NAACP President Latonya Duncan said. “We want individuals like them to stay out of Conway.”
Others shared their opinions regarding the direction the city will go.
“We’re going to try to continue to stand and make this the greatest city in the state of Arkansas as it has been for years,” Another attendee said.
Conway Police Chief Chris Harris provided more details on the inquiry, but no city officials spoke.
Harris claimed that hours after the incident, the department was unaware of any stabbings.
More details concerning what transpired that evening are provided in the police report that we also obtained.
When the cops arrived, there were perhaps twenty to thirty persons fighting in the Malys parking lot.
Officers discovered that Kelli Kennedy was inebriated when they arrived at the scene. She started to scream at the police and shout derogatory remarks and racist epithets at a cluster of African Americans positioned behind the officer.
Kennedy was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
Chucky Don Hartwick, another individual connected to the incident, faces five criminal counts. One of those was second-degree battery, and the other four were for aggravated assault.
Michael Kennedy is accused of two counts of aggravated assault and handed himself in at the Conway City Council meeting.
Harris stated that other accusations and apprehensions might occur.
