Former senator from Arkansas stopped at the security checkpoint at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport

Little Rock, Arkansas – On Thursday, the Little Rock Police Department reported that a weapon had been discovered at the airport security checkpoint.
When going through airport security, former Arkansas senator Jason Rapert had two firearms in his suitcase.
Rapert said he was unaware of the firearms’ presence when TSA inspectors discovered them loaded and in his backpack.
Little Rock police were contacted, and they permitted him to return the firearms to his vehicle and continue on his journey.
