Little Rock is getting ready for National Night Out

Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock authorities met on Tuesday to discuss what to expect from this year’s National Night Out celebration, which is quickly approaching.
Every year, National Night Out is a celebration that uses food, family, and fun to close the divide between local government representatives, police officers, and the people they serve.
In an effort to engage more people, Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said that this year they will be expanding into new neighborhoods.
The event will now include MacArthur Park, War Memorial Park, the Southwest Community Center, and the Community Center in West Central.
“To make sure that potential relationships are happening between police officers and other departments, we want to figure out a way to create more of a gathering place in our local parks,” Scott stated.
On October 1, Little Rock will have its National Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m.
