Lorrie Morgan, a country music artist, will play at Fowler Center



Jonesboro, Arkansas – Lorrie Morgan, a county celebrity, will travel to Region 8.

A-State announced on Thursday that Morgan will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, at Riceland Hall in the Fowler Center.

Morgan was married to country music performer Keith Whitley until his passing in 1989. She is a native of Nashville and the daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame member George Morgan.

She is notable for being the first female artist in her genre to launch her career with three straight platinum albums.

“We are excited to have the legendary Lorrie Morgan at Fowler Center,” said Fowler Center Director Dallas Martinez, “Her stage presence, emotional range, and song style make her one of the great performers in music. Our audience is in for a special night.”

She has collaborated on recordings with artists like Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tammy Wynette, The Beach Boys, Andy Williams, Pam Tillis, Dolly Parton, and the New World Philharmonic. She has also toured with George Jones and shared the stage with Jerry Lee Lewis.

She has even won a CMA Award and been voted CMA Album of the Year in 1994. Many of her tracks have received gold and platinum records.

Tickets cost between $40 and $50 and are all reserved.
