Medical marijuana is allegedly becoming more potent and pricey due to a lawsuit

Little Rock, Arkansas – In a complaint filed in Arkansas, it is alleged that testing labs are raising the potency levels of medical marijuana, increasing its cost.
The lawsuit asserts that despite the product’s potency not increasing, a number of medical marijuana growers in Arkansas are hiking costs.
Initially filed in February, the action was transferred to federal court in late March from the Pulaski County Circuit Court.
Jackie Hanan, the plaintiff, claimed that despite having comparable concentrations of THC, one of the active constituents, some marijuana was not as strong as others.
Hanan visited a different lab for the marijuana test, where the purported disparity in potency was discovered. No scheduled trial date exists. Defense counsel, however, requested that the case be dismissed.
