More than 200 bikes donated to Cabot primary schools to assist children develop their fundamental abilities

Cabot, Arkansas – Children in Cabot’s elementary school were taken aback when they got some new rides for physical education.
More than 200 bikes were distributed to Cabot’s primary schools as a result of a $54,000 grant from the All Kids Bike program.
The All Kids Bike program aims to educate every child in the United States on how to ride a bike in physical education classes.
According to Miriam Berryhill, principal of Northside Elementary, learning to ride a bike is a significant milestone for kids and sets them up for success in the future.
It’s one of those pursuits that will follow them into adulthood, according to Berryhill. “It’s one of those activities that will go with them all the way through adulthood,” Berryhill said. “It teaches them a lot of balance, and coordination, it gives them an activity that they can go outside and do.”
Each of the nine elementary schools in the area received 24 bikes along with everything the PE teachers needed to teach the students how to ride them.
