Next week, Little Rock metro area streets will close for construction on Interstate 30

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Department of Transportation in Arkansas declared Beginning the following week, a few streets in the Little Rock metro region will be temporarily closed.
According to a press statement from ARDOT, starting on August 7th, Cypress Street, Riverfront Drive, and 3rd Street will all need to be closed in order to complete building on the new I-30 westbound Arkansas River Bridge.
The following will be done by ARDOT if the weather permits:
• Cypress Street (full closure) between Washington Avenue and Broadway Street in North Little Rock beginning Monday morning, Aug. 7, and continuing for 10 weeks. Traffic will detour west on Broadway Street to Poplar Street and continue south to Washington Avenue or Riverfront Drive.
• Riverfront Drive (full closure) between Pine and Olive Streets in North Little Rock beginning Friday evening, Aug. 11, through Monday morning, Aug. 14. Traffic will detour to Broadway Street.
• 3rd Street (full closure) between Mahlon Martin and Ferry streets in Little Rock over a weekend (specific closure dates will be published in a future news release). Traffic will detour north on Mahlon Martin Street, turn west onto President Clinton Avenue, and head south on Sherman Street.
Drivers should use caution when approaching and passing through any work zones, according to ARDOT. At 30Crossing.com, additional project details may be found along with an interactive travel effect map.
