Old South Restaurant in Russellville relocates after its former home was destroyed by fire

Little Rock, Arkansas – After its long-standing and iconic old structure burned down in an overnight fire in June, Russellville’s adored Old South Restaurant announced on Saturday that it had found a new home.
The Old South announced on its Facebook page that it had purchased the Dixie Café’s former Russellville location at 105 East Harrell Drive.
“We are sad to be letting go of such an iconic building that has made Old South what it is today but a building is just that, a building! Because, you, the community, is what made Old South what [it] is from day one! We can’t wait to get back to doing what we love with the people we love!” the Old South said in its Facebook post.
There is currently no estimated opening date for the restaurant’s new site because renovations will take some time.
“Just stayed tuned for updates [on Facebook] and we will keep you all informed as we go along!! We can’t wait to see y’all!” the Old South said in the Facebook post.
