On the 25th anniversary of “The Waterboy,” Arkansas was ranked as the state most obsessed with Sandler comedies



Little Rock, Arkansas – On Monday, the comedy classic “The Waterboy” starring Adam Sandler will celebrate its 25th anniversary. According to a recent survey, Arkansas is the state most devoted to the 1998 comedy classic.

The research team at reports that when it comes to love for the movie starring Adam Sandler as Bobby Boucher Jr. and Kathy Bates as his overbearing mother, Arkansas is second only to Louisiana, the state where the movie is set.

The study’s team claimed to have ranked all 50 states in the United States by determining the top five Google search terms associated with the movie over the previous five years.

To complete the top five, Arkansas defeated other southern states like Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi.
