Operations in Pulaski County are still being halted by computer issues

Little Rock, Arkansas – Pulaski County is still plagued by technical problems. The enigmatic computer issues have been impeding crucial county operations for a number of weeks.
“It’s so detrimental even in terms of the business of what happens in Pulaski County,” stated Terri Hollingsworth, the county clerk.
On January 16, two weeks ago, certain employees of Pulaski County found that they were unable to access the computer systems.
It is quite stressful. For our customers that come in, it’s really annoying,” Hollingsworth explained.
The county clerk’s office had to deal with the processing of marriage licenses and voter registrations, among other things.
The county has been looking into a number of potential causes for the computer malfunction, including hacking. They are currently unsure if any private data was compromised.
“It’s certainly something I am concerned about and I want to know the answer to that as well,” Hollingsworth added.
Clerk Hollingsworth advises visiting a neighboring county to obtain a marriage license until further system recovery is completed.
Before visiting in person, Clerk Hollingsworth advised calling the courthouse at (501) 340-850 to inquire about current operations.
