Pair of earthquakes recorded near Blytheville

Jonesboro, Arkansas – Early on Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey noted two consecutive earthquakes close to Blytheville.
The first earthquake struck at 12:33 a.m. on September 7th, roughly 2 miles west of Cooter, Missouri, and 9 miles north-northeast of Blytheville, according to the USGS.
It was almost 6 km deep and had a magnitude of 2.0.
At 12:53 in the morning, the second earthquake, which was a little stronger, was felt by government observers.
The epicenter of the magnitude 2.3 earthquake occurred 1.7 miles northwest of Blytheville.
