Pine Bluff non-profit working to steer children away from violence

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – After a bloody weekend in Pine Bluff, the founder of a nonprofit organization declared that the violence in the neighborhood must stop.

Redirecting Paths was founded by Torey Foot earlier this year after he stated his desire to offer youngsters an alternative environment.

Young people do not have enough places to have fun without violence, he claimed.

His team visits the neighborhood each month to speak with children about engaging in activities that might keep them away from violence.

They just want everyone to understand one actual message, according to Foot.

“We love you. We care for you. We don’t want you all doing this. You all are too valuable,” Foot said. “You’re supposed to be the same people that are being raised to run this whole city and right now we are losing you faster than the older generation.”

Foot stated that they still only want to do operations in Pine Bluff.

You can find them on their Redirecting Path Facebook page if kids or families are interested in getting more involved.
