Seven deaths reported, 1,307 new positive Covid-19 cases in Arkansas, latest daily report

Conway, Arkansas – Arkansas added 1,307 new Covid-19 cases in the latest daily Covid-19 report issued on Wednesday.
According to the report released by the Arkansas Department of Health, seven more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of positive cases now reached 360,258. The total number of reported deaths since the start of the pandemic is now 5,977.
There are 8,804 active cases right now across the state. This is 670 more compared to the day before.
It’s the 15th straight day that hospitalizations have increased, Gov. Asa Hutchinson tweeted. There are 647 people in hospital as a result of the virus right now. 103 people are on ventilators, 5 more compared to Tuesday.

We have seen an increase in hospitalizations for the 15th day in a row, and active cases are up by 70% compared to last week. Our vaccinations have improved since last Wednesday, but it’s critical that number continues to climb to protect our state.
