Several adoptions are finalized at a Little Rock event

Little Rock, Arkansas – Pulaski County officials celebrated the adoptions of several families at the courthouse on Friday in observance of National Adoption Month.

Eight families and their supporters attended the event, which was organized by court judges and the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) of the Arkansas Department of Human Services. A significant milestone was noted by many of those officials: the number of children waiting for adoptions decreased from over 300 to slightly around 200.

Making their family permanent was a desire for many families, including the Norris family.
Molly Norris said, “I’m ecstatic. I thought this would be the best day of my life.”

After going through the adoption procedure with their other kid years prior, Brandi Brooks and her husband Matthew expressed their excitement about adopting their son.

“We were able to adopt Travis today after adopting our first son a number of years ago.” “I said,” Brooks said. “They make something that has been developing in your home and in your life permanent while you are only in front of the judge for a brief moment.”

They said that adopting their daughter Piper and holding her in their arms are all the Norris family needs.

“We will always be there for her, so she never has to wonder if anyone loves her or is coming home to her,” Mrs. Norris remarked.

Numerous families declared that they would not be squandering this occasion.

Allen Norris remarked, “I adore her personality.” “She has gotten along with our family so well over the past two years, and we are the happiest family in the world.”

Officials stated that they strongly urge adoption if any family are interested.
