Suspect connected to July 2023 shooting charged by LRPD
Little Rock, Arkansas – One suspect in the July 29, 2023, shooting has been charged by the Little Rock Police Department.
Police claim that on July 29, they received a call about a gunshot incident at 11724 Rainwood Road. They made this announcement on their X profile.
When the police got on the scene, Eligiah Lucas, 26, was reportedly suffering from what seemed to be gunshot wounds. Lucas passed away right there.
Harris Martin, 23, was reportedly present on the scene that day and was taken to Major Crimes to be questioned, according to the police.
The matter was examined by the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on May 17, 2024.
The Office concluded that there was no justification for the shooting.
According to the police, Martin was taken into custody and is now being charged with manslaughter.
The inquiry is still being conducted.
