The Arkansas Realtors Association will provide hurricane victims with up to $2,000

Little Rock, Arkansas – Four weeks have passed since two EF-3 tornadoes that ravaged Arkansas and left hundreds homeless.
To help with mortgage and rent payments as well as hotel accommodations, the Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA) is setting up temporary command centers.
To assist Arkansas disaster victims with their applications, agents from all throughout the state put up four stations.
“This is just another opportunity for us as a profession to give back to our communities when they’re in need,” Mike Ford with the National Realtors Association said.
• The temporary command centers are located in the following places and are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. till April 28:
• ARA Office: 11224 Executive Center Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72211
• North Pulaski Board of REALTORS®: 3100 E. Kiehl Ave., Sherwood, Ark. 72120
• First United Methodist Church: 308 W Main St., Jacksonville, Ark 72076
• Cross County Chamber of Commerce: 1790 Falls Blvd. N #2, Wynne, Ark. 72396
People must present identification in some form, documentation that their house or apartment has been destroyed, and a lease agreement or utility bill to one of the four places listed above in order to be evaluated.
The organization will provide up to $2,000 if accepted.
“Let’s say their home was blown away and now they’re living in an apartment or they’re living in a hotel, we’ll pay the hotel bill,” Ford said.
To help storm victims, the Arkansas Realtors Association is donating $1 million.
Ford claims that the funds originate from the Realtor Relief Foundation, funds set up expressly for disaster relief.
The ARA stated that even if a person loses all of their documentation, they will still be helped.
“We’ve got computers and scanners to help you get that documentation,” Ford said.
