The biggest raise in new Covid-19 cases in Arkansas in three months, almost 400 new cases
Conway, Arkansas – The state of Arkansas is seeing the biggest spike in new daily Covid-19 cases in almost three months.
According to the latest Covid-19 report by the Arkansas Department of Health, 393 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. In addition to the new cases, three more deaths were also reported.
Arkansas currently has 1,985 active cases. 202 people are hospitalized and 42 are on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, Arkansas reported a total of 343,609 cases and 5,859 deaths. Now there are 938,762 fully immunized and 232,637 partially immunized Arkansans.
Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
The recent increase in new cases is even more evident today with the highest level of new cases in nearly three months. Our 7-day positivity rate of 6.5% is of particular concern. We continue to see the importance of getting vaccinated to stop this virus in our communities.
